This is a personal blog, you may have noted the logos on the home page – those are for my easy self-reference and things that I find particularly interesting at the moment. It is sure to grow as time passes.
What’s the point of it all, you may ask? You clearly aren’t the author. In essence, I’ve been meaning to tinker a little more and would find a self-reference point interesting. My initial concept was for this to serve as a ‘portal’ to click into other subdomains which I use, but I don’t really want to run my own wiki instance as that’s a bit of effort – why do that when a blog is just as good?
Aside from an RTFM-esque approach, the portal will still serve as a portal (navigation bar, anyone?) and future blogs may prove handy to nitwits like me who’d rather play and tinker with tech than simply purchase Off-The-Shelf (OTS) systems from various cloud providers.
One exception though, am a big fan of IONOS and OVH Cloud, as well as many other hosting providers who reduce the friction needed to adopt and/or self-host technologies. Hipposerve is also pretty good, for a UK based outfit.
Anyway, that’s that. A personal note to my later ego, who forgot what this site was about in a few months’ time.
